LiuRen Oracle ("we", "our", or "the Service") is an online divination platform offering readings based on Xiao Liu Ren (小六壬), a traditional Chinese divination method. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the Service, how we use it, and the choices you have.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

• Account information — your email address and authentication credentials when you register. Passwords are stored only in hashed form by our authentication provider.
• Reading data — the questions you ask, your divination results, and the interpretations generated for you. We store these so you can revisit your reading history.
• Payment information — payments are processed entirely by Creem, our payment processor and Merchant of Record. We never see, collect, or store your full card number or payment credentials. We receive only the payment status and an order reference.
• Usage data — pages visited, browser and device type, and approximate region, collected through essential cookies and privacy-respecting analytics.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and maintain the Service, including generating your readings
• Process your questions through our AI provider to produce interpretations
• Process payments and deliver your purchases
• Send transactional emails such as receipts and account notices
• Improve the product using aggregated, anonymized usage patterns
• With your consent, send occasional product updates — you may opt out at any time

4. Third-Party Services

We rely on a small number of trusted providers to operate the Service. Each processes data under its own privacy policy:

• Supabase — database hosting and user authentication
• DeepSeek — AI interpretation engine; the text of your question is sent to this provider to generate your reading
• Creem — payment processing and Merchant of Record; handles all payment data and applicable taxes
• Vercel — website hosting and content delivery

5. Data Retention

We retain your account information and reading history for as long as your account remains active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except for payment transaction records that we are required to retain for legal, tax, or accounting purposes.

6. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, deletion of, or an export of your personal data at any time by contacting us. We respond to all requests within 30 days.

If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you additionally have the rights provided under the GDPR, including the right to object to processing and the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

7. Cookies

We use only essential cookies required for authentication and security. We do not use third-party advertising trackers, and we do not sell your personal information to anyone.

8. Data Security

We protect your data with encryption in transit (HTTPS), hashed password storage, and strict access controls. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we continuously work to protect your information using commercially reasonable means.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to anyone under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

10. International Data Transfers

Your information may be processed in the United States and other jurisdictions where our service providers operate. By using the Service, you consent to such transfers, which we safeguard through the providers’ own compliance programs.
